Black English Mulberry is a hardy spreading tree. It was one of the first deciduous temperate fruit trees planted in South Australia and that tree still lives near Kingscote. The black fruit ripens in January and February, its juice famous for staining children’s faces. It is delicious. Plant a big strong tree anytime and look forward to a summertime feast.
